Nosferatu’s band rises in the 1993 year, and it was formed by Diego Peña (guitar), Rafael Serrano (vocals & bass) and Jhon A. Sanchez (drums).
takin' its name inspired by the darkness and misantrophy, an expression build by the character and influences of the Black Metal and Heavy Metal of the 80’s decade.

In 1994 Diego Peña takes the keyboards part and in the meanwhile German Arias would became the new lead guitarist of the Colombian band Nosferatu.
This alignment would begin recording their demo entitled "Temblor Del Cielo", released in late’s 1995. Where less than one year 1,500 copies, which is becoming one of the first Colombian national demos with a great production, were reported to be reflected in a good final product. The musical style found in this work could be classified as a trend known as experimental Black Metal.
This demo is a work which demonstrates not only the creation of atmospheres but recreates everything that surrounds the character and way of thinking.

In 1998 the band Nosferatu participate in a gathering that was titled "From Colombia With Hate", which premiered in the year, 1999 through his song "Totenlaut" compiled with more Colombian bands. In the same year Rafael Serrano leaves Nosferatu and German Arias became the new vocalist, but the band needed a second guitarist, this space was occupied by Carlos Andres Castrillon, and this would change that reflect into more aggressive and powerful songs.

In 2000 Nosferatu becomes the black metal band most recognized in Bogota, and this makes sharing the stage with the Greek band Rotting Christ, performing before more than a thousand people. In 2001 Camilo Burgos joins the band as the new bassist, and only months later Eduardo Barragan would join the band as the only voice of Nosferatu. In 2002 the band manages to act in a recognized stage again next to an international band, this time was Inquisition from USA.

At the end of 2004 John A. Sanchez left the band and Steve Souza takes the role as the new drummer of Nosferatu, David Ibarra at the same time joins the band on the keyboards, in 2006 Nosferatu enters a recording studio again working on new material which was released in 2007 under the name of "The Sign of the Undead" in 2008 Rafael Benavidez joins the band as the new bassist to give a new breath to the sound that would be enhanced when Dixon Sanabria and Leonardo Alvarez joined the band in 2009 as the new guitarist and vocalist. Nosferatu shows a new and increasingly extreme sound, which is why his reputation in the black metal scene in Colombia is well received.
